PRODUCING

Joanna graduated with an MA in film producing from the National Film and Television School in February 2023. She is the founder and director of The Feathers of Daedalus Circus and has produced 8 theatre productions in the UK and Brazil. She has produced 20 short films, many of which have played at BIFA, BAFTA and Academy Award qualifying festivals. Her film GOSSIP was shortlisted for the YUGO student BAFTAs. Since leaving NFTS in 2023 she has been working at Oscar nominated Adventure Pictures alongside Christopher Sheppard and Sally Potter across various projects in various mediums. She is attached as a producer to Sally Potter’s feature film Orlando, Now as well as Anatomy, both of which she has pitched at Cannes film festival. She pitched Sally Potter’s Alma at the Berlinale co-production market 2023. She is now developing her slate of feature projects as a producer alongside another 9 shorts, including Bland in development with BBC film. She has also produced music videos for Sally Potter (Orlando), Mawaan Rizwaan (Juice) Now Ex (In The Cold Dark Night) and BAFTA nominee Vika Evdokimenko (Aamir) and a short film for BAFTA winner Colin O’Toole (Cowboy Dave) . She has produced work in England, Scotland, Brazil, Mexico, Hungary and the USA and has an interest in further international collaboration. Joanna also has interests in amplifying underrepresented filmmakers and female filmmakers, and in genre work, whether magical realist, horror or musical.
